From my kitchen & Double Kisses Blog

I like this.

But not at much as I like those cupcakes.

Hijab people...

So I was blog surfing on Blogger, and I found this blog with this image above. Underneath was a poem about how women with hijab are respected for their minds and those who do not wear them are skanks pretty much. I am just looking at this objectively, but I will say that there are women in muslim countries who are prostitutes and DO wear the hijab (mostly for law) and there are girls who do not wear hijab that are the smartest and most conservative girls with MORALS.

That's all.

Thinspos...

I made the discovery of thinspos today (thinsperation).

There's a whole community of chicks out there.

Coastal Decisions

I chatted with a friend of mine about going back to FIT or going to UT. Its possibly the hardest decision I could make. Of course, UT it closer to home, a top ranked school nationally as well as internationally, very large university and well recognized.
And there's FIT, internationally recognized as well with designer pieces that designers flock to see from across the globe that only FIT owns, professors that have been in the fashion industry for at least 10 years, in the heart of NYC, easy access by bus to any city in the tri-state area for a very small wage, celebrities, many famous alumni, great job resources, easy classes, 80% girls I believe, relaxed atmosphere in the non-design sector.
I wish I could have more support for FIT, I believe I would make better connections (in the work front) in NY than in TX.
I already had a chance to interview with Rolling Stone Mag, I met a fashion photographer who has done Chanel fashion shows, and 1/2 of my favorite band of all time!

Twiggy Follower

I found this blog today while i was on the phone with my friend. He was actually the one that found it. Its called twiggy fritz or at least that is what the blogger is refering to herself. I am very interested to know more about her because i love her taste in everything she posts on her xanga.

Wild animals fighting to the death in my backyard right now. Impossible to sleep with the racket.

So Tonight...

So now i have set up my mobile device for Blogger and have recieved alot of followers on Twitter. And i hardly tweet, just follow celebs. Anyone that honestly tweets about their lives and are not celebs are a bit messed up in my opinion.
Just watched the latest episode of NYC Prep. The blonde chick is going to FIT bc she loves fashion, thats two things we have in common, maybe we'll be buds.

Designing

So hopefully I will cut up that pair of pants my dad gave me and make a dress out of it. It has buttons around the inside of the waist (meant for suspenders) but will use to make it a dress and skirt with removal of the top half.

There we go, I am setting up shop.

New decisions...

So now i am deciding to use the blog, originally intended for my Parsons app (which we all know is futile since chances of actually getting in was 1% on an artistic day) but now will be used for personal, less academic purposes.

First real post- I am listening to Arcade Fire because when I saw Harry Potter yesterday, I also saw the much more interesting Where The Wild Things Are trailer.

Incase you're wondering what the song was in the trailer, it was Wake Up by Arcade Fire. A song I had barely listened to when I first heard the track on their Funeral album back in 2005, but now a much more interesting song to listen to now that I can completely imagine the big fuzzy guys in from the book bouncing along to it.

So now im just letting the album play, now its on Neighborhood #4.

Awaiting return to NY...very long wait for 1 month. Don't like the wait.

Message learned from Arcade Fire: If you want something, don't ask for nothing.

Bonne Nuit
